More sad news on the COVID-19 front, Epoch Times, December 6, 2020. A study using actual science to analyze public policy has found “…no transmission of the CCP virus among people who were in close contact with asymptomatic patients…” The finding is devastating to democrats who have built their 2020 presidential campaign around COVID-19 and promoting the masking requirement in response to the threat posed by asymptomatic spread. The results of the new study contradict their claims that asymptomatic transmission played a major role in the pandemic.
It’s hard not to miss the irony that actual “Science” has exposed their partisan ruse of fear inspired smug superiority. Their message, trumpeted through a constant barrage of public service announcements, was always the same; “Follow the science!” Their “science” required a facial covering. Their “science” produced a powerful two fold partisan benefit for them: It forced broad obeisance to their democrat masking initiative, symbolizing their approach to combating COVID-19; and crushed political opposition under the mantra of “civic duty.”
Democrat insistence that all civic minded citizens publicly display their COVID-19 rallying cry upon their face (the 2 – 3% effective but stylish cloth mask) is now exposed for what it always has been: Worthless for public health. Sweden’s response to the COVID-19 threat has not been saddled with American styled political partisanship. Their approach was to utilize sage advice we have known all along. 1) Try not to touch your face 2) Physically distance in public places 3) Practice hand hygiene 4) Sneeze or cough into the arm fold 5) Stay home when feeling sick. Great advice we should all follow.
The Swedes had it right. If we had adopted their steady approach and avoided the fear inspired hysteria symbolized by facial masking, which propelled much of our public policy, we would, among other things, never have disastrously sent COVID-19 positive elderly patients back into nursing homes. That decision alone would have spared many COVID-19 deaths. The brutal reality is not having the COVID-19 threat to exploit, would have cost the democrats the election. If you’re a democrat, you decide; was Biden winning worth it?
For now, the best advise I can give is: 1) Stop the partisan exploitation of COVID-19 and 2) Stop the hypocrisy. THE ELECTION IS OVER!
