Be Merry This Christmas

Invite Christ home for Christmas

“Lord,

now lettest thou

thy servant depart in peace,

according to thy word:

For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.”

Luke 2. 29-32

Christmas got you up, or got you down?

Simeon was excited about that first Christmas.  God had told him the silver cord would not be loosed until he had held the Messiah in his arms.

The Holy Spirit brought Simeon to the temple to encounter Mary and Joseph and fulfill that promise.

Simeon held Jesus in his arms and blessed God for his faithfulness.

It was the greatest gift a person could have:

It’s our gift too.

If you’re looking for Christ this Christmas;

He will come and spend it with you.

Invite him to your home and…

Have a very Merry Christmas.

A farmer knows, the seeds we sow are the seeds we harvest. Except by God's grace, life works that way most of the time. I am deeply indebted to my creator, the one and only true God who gives life to all things by his grace, through his son Jesus Christ. I am grateful for the lessons I've learned from my farming heritage and the privilege of partnering in the cycle of life each new growing season.
